We get it. No one really wants to talk about dog poop. But let’s face it...poop happens! There are many potential dangers to leaving your dogs poo behind. Not only is dog poop unsightly and stinky, it can also be loaded with potentially harmful pathogens that can be transmitted to your dog and human family members. It’s known to carry a multitude of parasites, bacteria, and viruses, Some could contain hookworms, tapeworms, roundworms, whipworms, coccidia, giardia, E. coli, and parvovirus (just to name a few). Those most at risk are pregnant women, children, babies and seniors.
According to CDC:
”In humans, it has been found that almost 14% of the U.S. population has been infected with Toxocara” (AKA roundworms)
Believe it or not, aside from being harmful to your health, dog waste also has a big environmental impact. Some justify leaving the waste behind because they think it makes good fertilizer...like cow manure. But that just isn’t the case. In fact, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has labeled it a “non-point source pollutant.” That puts it in the same category as herbicides and insecticides, oil, grease, and toxic chemicals, and acid drainage from abandoned mines!
It’s a messy problem, but together, we can make our neighborhoods and towns healthier, cleaner and more beautiful.
Give your dog the yard they deserve! Are you ready to give our pooper scooper services a try?
* Yards must be easily accessible.
* Lawns need to be cut on a regular basis, without a large amount of leaves, sticks or debris. We can only pick up what we see. Anything missed would typically be caught and scooped the following week one yard is trimmed/cleaned up. We do not work around lawncare service schedules or garbage days.
* Gates should be free of snow, ice, locks (unless key or combination is supplied). If we cannot access the yard, we will return the following week. You will be charged for a service visit.
* Please keep aggressive dogs indoors while your yard is being serviced. If your dog(s) is outside, we will ring your bell and ask you to bring your dog(s) inside. If you are not home and your dogs are out, a service visit will be charged.
* You are required to let us know when dog quantity changes.
* Please give a 2-3 week notice for vacation, service suspension or cancellation.
No, at Pain in the Grass LLC we do not require a contract. This is a month to month service. If you would like to cancel service, please notify us by telephone or email atleast 2 week prior to when you want to cancel.
Yes, we do! In our area, it snows and melts quite frequently during the winter months. If snow covers the ground, we do our best to find everything. Then we will get anything we may have missed at your next service day once the snow has melted.
Maintaining service through the winter guarantees no Spring cleanup, ever again!
By retaining your service through the winter, your yard is consistently being maintained. Through the winter, the snow completely melts numerous times. During the thaws, you will receive a complete cleaning so that once the spring arrives, you won’t have to worry about a spring cleaning because you won’t have one! The cost of a spring cleaning is more than one month of maintenance cleaning in most cases. You won’t have to pay for a Spring cleaning ever again!
For initial first-time cleanup or a one-time service, payment is due before day of service. Payment for reoccurring service is due the same day every month that your original first invoice was due. A $15 late fee will be charged if late. After 2 weeks of no payment, service will be canceled. You will start new after the 2 weeks with any new pricing, agreements etc.
